HANNAH DZIURA

Hannah Dziura began tapping her toe at age two and went on to enjoy many years of competitive dancing. Hannah participated in Lyons Township High School Poms program and was captain of the Varsity squad her senior year. Hannah also had the privilege of performing with the Eurythmic Dance Company during her time at LTHS. Hannah’s obsession with dance followed her to college, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Physical Therapy with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May of 2020. During her freshman year, Hannah attended Columbia College Chicago and danced with BOOM CRACK! Dance Company under the direction of Trae Turner. After transferring to UIUC, she returned to her passion for tap dancing during Dance at Illinois semester of Tap at Illinois. Performance credits include Charlie Maybee's The Promise of Stormy Weather and the Lyric Theatre @ Illinois production of Crazy for You, directed by Sarah Wigley (2019). During her senior year, Hannah danced and choreographed with 3Spot Dance Troupe. Hannah currently dances professionally part-time with Outlet Dance Company and enjoys choreographing for their annual concert.
Outside of dance, Hannah enjoys her career as a pediatric physical therapist. Hannah works with children of all ages and a variety of diagnoses! One of her favorite parts of the job is the ability to bring her experience as a dancer and dance teacher into her work.
Hannah was trained by Thrive Center for Dance faculty and was in the first class of Alumni to graduate from Thrive in 2016. Hannah loves working alongside her former teachers and continuing to learn and grow as a dancer and teacher with their guidance!
