ROBYN ROBBINS

Dance has been at the heart of Robyn Robbins' life since she was four years old. What began as a childhood passion has grown into a lifelong career as a performer, choreographer, educator, and mentor. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, Robyn is dedicated to inspiring dancers of all ages while helping them develop not only exceptional technique but also confidence, artistry, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.
Throughout her professional career, Robyn has studied and performed with prestigious organizations including Ballet Omaha, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Center, and the legendary Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. A proud member of Actors' Equity Association, she performed in the National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and numerous productions at Drury Lane Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Theatre at the Center, and Candlelight Dinner Playhouse.
An accomplished choreographer, Robyn's work has been featured in theaters throughout Chicagoland, including Drury Lane Theatre and Goodman Theatre, with credits including In the Heights, Legally Blonde, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Peter Pan, Carousel, Footloose, Damn Yankees, and more than half a dozen productions of A Christmas Carol. Her choreography has also been recognized with countless overall awards and numerous Choreography Awards at regional and national dance competitions throughout the Midwest, where she is known for creating emotionally engaging, technically challenging works that inspire dancers to perform with artistry, confidence, and heart.
As the founder and owner of Thrive Center for Dance, Robyn has fulfilled her lifelong dream of creating more than just a dance studio—she has built a community where dancers of every age and ability feel welcomed, challenged, and celebrated. Thrive is founded on the belief that dance develops not only strong performers, but also confident, resilient, compassionate individuals.
Whether teaching a preschooler's first plié, mentoring competitive dancers, or welcoming adults back into the studio, Robyn's greatest joy is helping every student discover their unique potential. She is honored to work alongside an exceptional faculty and remains committed to creating a place where dancers don't just learn to dance—they truly THRIVE.
