Hannah’s degree culminates in her undergraduate research, “Body Therapy for Dancers: A Renewed Approach to Injury Prevention,” which endeavors to interrelate the fields of physical therapy and dance via somatic practices and approached as a means to prevent dance injury in support of the dancer’s intricate needs.

During her freshman year, Hannah attended Columbia College Chicago and danced with BOOM CRACK! Dance Company under the direction of Trae Turner. After transferring to the U of I, she returned to her passion for tap dancing during Dance at Illinois semester of Tap at Illinois. Performance credits include Charlie Maybee's The Promise of Stormy Weather and the Lyric Theatre @ Illinois production of Crazy for You, directed by Sarah Wigley (2019). During her senior year, Hannah danced and choreographed with 3Spot Dance Troupe. In the Spring of 2021, Hannah opened her own virtual dance studio, Dance with Miss Hannah, where she teaches themed dance classes via Zoom.

Hannah is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Midwestern University in Downers Grove. Ultimately, Hannah wishes to make dance a vital priority within the sciences and educate young dancers on the importance of well-rounded dance instruction and prioritizing their body’s wellness!

Hannah was trained by Thrive Center for Dance faculty until she graduated from Lyons Township in 2016. She has sporadically taught summer classes over the past few years. She is so thrilled to be back at TCFD!
